General Testing Rules

• Original Valid and signed passport is required for ALL tests to be held in AUS Testing Center
• Arrive at the Testing Center at least 1 hour before the test starting time. Doors close 10 minutes before the test starting time. Late-comers will not be allowed to enter
• Dress so that you can adapt to any room temperature
• Mobile phones and personal belongings should be left in the lockers available in the Testing Center. Mobile phones should be switched off.
• The Testing Center will reschedule students who arrive late and/ or do not have the required identification documents (original, valid and signed passport).
• The test fee must be paid at least by the Thursday before the day of the test.

TOEFL TESTING RULES

• CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THEIR PASSPORTS WITH THEM DURING THE EXAM.
• NO WASHROOM BREAKS DURING THE EXAM.
• CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE TESTING ROOM BEFORE THE END OF THE EXAM.
• CANDIDATES MUST ONLY WORK ON THE ASSIGNED SECTION DURING THE EXAM.
• CANDIDATES ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE MARKING OF ANY SORT IN THE EXAM BOOK.
• ORIGINAL, VALID AND SIGNED PASSPORT IS REQUIRED FOR YOUR TESTING
• Your scores will be available within a week on the following link:

• The Scores are displayed according to your AUS ID number. Please note that we do not release scores by phone or email under any circumstances.

Candidates will not be tested or their test will not be scored if they fail to comply with these regulations.

Placement Test Rules

• Major Placement Tests are a registration requirement for those students who have achieved the required TOEFL

 score for the semester of entry. Placement Tests are free of charge.

• On the day of the test you must arrive at the American University of Sharjah at least 1 hour before the start of the test. Doors close 10 minutes before the test starting time. Late-comers will not be allowed to enter
•  Original, Valid & Signed Passport is mandatory for your entry in the examination hall.

• Candidate’s face must be visible at all times during testing.
• Students can sit for the major placement tests ONE TIME ONLY.  Major Placement Tests cannot be repeated under any circumstances.
• All registration forms should be received at least one week before to the test date.

Candidates will not be tested if they fail to comply with these regulations.
