Supply Chain Management (SCM) has emerged as an area of great interest for industry practitioners. They are now persuaded that efficient integration of geographically and legally separated organizations and coordination of materials, information and financial flows lead to impressive gains (reduced costs, better quality, improved flexibility, shorter delivery, …) and, consequently improve their competitiveness.
This two-day Symposium provides a forum for distinguished guest speakers and practitioners to discuss logistics and SCM opportunities and challenges in the region. The Symposium constitutes an excellent opportunity for the participants to hear from supply chain experts about latest developments in SCM and get practitioners’ view of innovative supply chain practices in some of the leading organizations.

Program Structure
The program of the first day includes a desert Safari and a city tour of Sharjah and/or Dubai. The second day covers guests’ presentations, panel discussion, papers’ presentations in parallel sessions and a student session. The last day of the symposium is dedicated to guests’ presentations, parallel sessions, training seminars, and tour visits to main logistics sites in the area.
