Biography

Dr. Al-Ali earned his doctorate from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Vanderbilt University, USA, in 1990. Since September 2000, he has been an associate professor in the AUS Department of Computer Engineering. From September 2001 to December 2003, he served as program coordinator, program head and then as interim department chair. Prior to joining AUS, he was an assistant/associate professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia, from 1991 to 2000. Dr. Al-Ali worked as a research and development engineer for MSS Inc. in Nashville, Tennessee, from 1988 to 1991.
