Biography

Dr. Rana Ahmed earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from Duke University, North Carolina, USA, in 1991. Dr. Ahmed has served on the faculty of the Computer Science Department at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Canada, and at the Electrical Engineering Department of King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He was also a visiting researcher at the Department of Electrical Engineering of Queen's University, Kingston, Canada, in 1998. Dr. Ahmed has an extensive industrial experience. He has worked at Research In Motion (RIM) in Waterloo, Canada, and SpaceBridge Networks in Hull, Canada, in the areas of software quality assurance, software testing and ATM switch testing and performance measurements.
