Biography

Dr. Taha Landolsi holds a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas. His research interests include optical networks, wireless networks, wavelet applications, MEMS applications and optical switching and computing.

Dr. Landolsi has worked in the telecommunications industry for more than seven years. From 1996 to 1999 he was involved in the design and optimization of several CDMA wireless networks with Nortel Networks. From 2000 to 2003, he headed the Central Office Advanced Technology Development team in MCI where he lead projects on MEMS optical cross-connects, very-short reach interface standards, optical performance monitoring and GMPLS/ASON optical control plane. He worked in King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia from 2003 to 2005 as Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering. In 2005, he joined the Department of Computer Engineering at the American University of Sharjah. Dr. Landolsi is a member of the IEEE and the Optical Society of America.
