Faculty
members in the ELE department are conducting research in the following
areas:
- Dr.
Al-Assaf. Intelligent industrial systems;
neural networks, fuzzy logic and wavelets analysis
and their applications in recognition, modeling and
control. Adaptive control and signal processing.
- Dr.
Al-Nashash. Biomedical instrumentations and imaging, digital signal and image processing and applications for biomedicine and industry, biomedical intelligent systems, optimization of silicon manufacturing processes.
- Dr.
Assaleh. Signal processing and pattern recognition, robust speech and speaker recognition,

- Dr. Barkat: A daptive signal detection and estimation, radar systems and spread spectrum communications, and distributed detection and data fusion
- Dr.
Dhaouadi.
Servo and adjustable-speed drive systems, field-oriented
control of ac motor drives, power electronics systems,
control of electro-mechanical, real time digital
control and DSP/microcomputer-based controllers.
- Dr. El-Hag. Testing , monitoring and diagnostic of electrical insulation, high voltage applications and electric power distribution systems.

El-Tarhuni. Wireless communications, CDMA,
synchronization, OFDM.
- Dr. Habib Ur Rehman. Electric machine drives, power electronics and renewable energy systems.
- Dr. Hasan: Multimedia systems and communications, computer and wireless networks, and wireless communications.

Qaddoumi.
Microwave systems, antennas and wave propagation, microwave imaging, radars,
electromagnetics, and microwave nondestructive testing.
