Q: What is the minimum GPA required from a transfer applicant to be considered for admission?
For academic year 2011-2012, the required minimum CGPA is either 2.5 or 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 depending on the type of institution the applicant is transferring from. Transfer applicants may be given transfer credit for courses required for their majors if their grades are not less than a B average. For courses that are not required for the major, transfer credits will be given for those with grades that are not less than C, and on condition that those courses are approved for a degree at AUS.
Documents required from a transfer applicant:
1- High school graduation certificate and grades report.
2- Official transcript of college/university.
3- Syllabus and course description of courses which they seek to transfer.
4- Application form.
5- Non-refundable application fee of AED 250.
6- A non-refundable credit transfer evaluation fee of AED 300. However, this fee is deductible from tuition once the applicant joins AUS.
7- Four photos.
8- Copy of the passport.
