Visiting faculty position in Physics
The Department of Physics at the American University of Sharjah invites applications for a one-year visiting faculty position starting first of September 2014. All ranks will be considered.
Strong candidates from all fields of physics, experimental and theoretical, will be considered. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Physics. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research, and strong communication skills in English, are required. Experience in the American-style of higher education is strongly preferred.

Adjunct physics lab instructors
The Department of Physics at the American University of Sharjah seeks Physicists with M.Sc. degree to work as adjunct Laboratory Instructors during the upcoming Fall semester (September 7, 2014 to January 5, 2015.). All Physics areas will be considered and preference will be given to candidates with experience in teaching physics labs or courses at the undergraduate level.

Biology Lab Instructor (BLI) - Adjunct
The Department of Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences seeks a BLI who will teach the laboratory component of different Biology courses being offered by the department and carry out other related activities. The BLI will instruct the laboratory component of General Biology I and II and one or more of the following: genetics, physiology, microbiology, and ecology. In addition, the BLI will be expected to operate standard and advanced biology equipment.
The successful candidate will have an MS degree in Biology or Biology-related field, good communication skills in English, and prior experience in a similar position.

Faculty position in History
The Department of International Studies at the American University of Sharjah (United Arab Emirates) is seeking a historian who specializes in Middle Eastern history to teach a range of courses on the modern Middle East as well as survey courses in World History. Adjunct Faculty Position in the Department of English
