
IEP holds Honors Colloquium
The Intensive English Program (IEP) held its Spring 2005 Honors Colloquium on March 19 in the Main Building. The event, attended by a large audience comprising students, faculty members and senior officials of AUS, recognized the academic achievements of IEP students from academic year 2003-2004 and fall semester 2004.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Winfred Thompson, Chancellor of AUS, congratulated the students on their achievement and hard work and wished them well in their future endeavors. More than 100 students were honored for their achievements at the ceremony. Mohammed Gafar Babiker, Maher Sami El- Khatib, Bashar Tariq Safarini, Maryam Mohammed Qasem, Moahmoud Mohammed-Amin Al Jarrah, Ahmed Yousif Khairi, Shaheen A. Al Salem and Yasim Adel Hassan received the highest honors.
All those recognized at the Spring 2005 Honors Colloquium were registered as full-time students, had achieved at least a 3.5 GPA or higher, had no failing grades in any of their courses, had no incomplete grades and had no disciplinary action against them.
