Saudi marine officers graduate from CEC

A dozen Saudi marine officers from ARAMCO received their certificates at a well-attended graduation ceremony held by the Continuing Education Center (CEC) this semester.

The ceremony, attended by Chancellor Dr. Winfred Thompson, Mr. Bashir Abolail, Director of CEC, and other senior AUS officials, faculty members and staff, celebrated the completion of a 300-hour intensive english program designed specifically for the 12 marine officers. The officers will now be sent offshore by ARAMCO on various missions.

The CEC's outstanding reputation for its educational programs and commitment to high-quality education has attracted the attention of international companies around the Gulf region, such as ARAMCO and ADNATCO.

These companies now opt to send their employees to reputable universities in the Gulf such as AUS rather than to the West for such special programs.

Saudi ARAMCO is the world's largest oil producing company. Throughout its history, the company has made special efforts to attract the right kind of professionals; it keeps its workforce current and upto-date in terms of the latest professional training required to be at the forefront of the global oil industry.
