Student Center

Student Center (SC) is the focal point of the Student Activities Office. It is the main extracurricular area for the students and is contributing actively to University life by providing students with both an appealing and a comfortable environment. It is the university social interaction venue.

Student Center is also considered as a melting-pot where students from different nationalities meet to socialize, discuss academics and campus matters or simply to rest.

Student Center normal working hours are from 08.00 AM to 11.00 PM throughout the week including week-ends. And in order to ensure students comfort and quietude, (SC) is comprised of a myriad of amenities and facilities such as:

Food court and cafeterias, wireless internet access, TV room, private ladies lounge, advertising board, pharmacy, barber shop, Leopard Mini Mart, travel office, billiards room, bowling alley, conference and multipurpose rooms with cutting-edge equipments and state-of –the-art materials to meet the latest development.

Club Offices:

The student Center houses offices for the clubs and Organization to carry out their activities smoothly in an appropriate framework. The offices, located on the first floor, are equipped with new computers, printers, telephones for free use.

Each club has an executive board that is made up of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Executive Officer Activities Coordinator and a Media Coordinator. This board gives students hand-on experience of how to manage time and money; and enhance their leadership skills while at work. It is an ideal environment to explore the professional world before graduating.

Student Council Offices:

Located on the first floor of the Student Center building, The Student Council office is the head-office of AUS student representative. The office is spacious  and is geared to implement and to follow the work of the student government and ensure a smooth coordination of the events.

 It is also a venue for frequent and sporadic meetings between Student  Council and students.

The office area houses many offices and is equipped with all the requisites: computers, printers, and telephones.

The Multipurpose Rooms:

The student Center is home to two main multipurpose rooms equipped with state-of-the–art facilities. As its name indicates the room serves multipurpose. Students convene meeting, listening to music, attending a lecture and more. One room is located on the first floor and the second one is located in the basement.

Each room is fitted with big screen, surround sound system to give a real life experience when watching movies. The room also has many musical instruments for students with musical penchant who show their artistic talents.

Conference room:

Located on the first floor of the Student Center, the room is utilized by executive students and club representatives to hold meetings about the upcoming events and to ensure a smooth running of their activities.

Piano lounge:

Piano lounge is a large musical space located in the basement; it gives the student the opportunity to be at the heart of the artistic performances.

The ambiance is tension-free and the moments spent there are delightful and of ultimate enjoyment.

Storage room:

The Storage room is a hold-all for all clubs and organizations materials and equipments. The store is secure and items put there are safe. Student clubs can have access to the material or equipment whenever need.

T.V room:

T.V room is an area for relaxation and enjoyment. Students can meet there to watch their favorite programs or game, chit-chat or listen to a music. The T.V room has a big screen flat T.V set with surround effect system which gives them real-life experience when watching programs.

The area is conveniently equipped with very comfortable sofas in order to make the environment for students appealing and homey.

Ladies lounge:

This area is for ladies looking for privacy and seclusion. It gives them an opportunity to relax and have a moment of quietude and tranquility.

Lost and founds:

If you have lost something anywhere in the university whether be it a mobile phone, a wallet, a book … do not fret! There is a big chance that you are going to find it again in the “Lost and found desk“located in the Student Center ground floor.

If student or staff found something on campus, there are kindly requested to hand it to the Lost and found desk staff where the owner will be supposed to recover it.

Reservations:

Individual students or groups can reserve facilities in the Student Center for extracurricular activities. These facilities include a multipurpose room, a conference room, the clubs office and space in the second floor cafeteria. Reservations can be made through the reception staff in the Student Center.
