At the beginning of each semester, prior to registration, the Office of Student Affairs through the Student Activities Office conducts an orientation-to-university-life program for all new students.

The program is aimed at helping new students get acclimated to AUS, meet other new students and speak with senior students who assist with the orientation program.

Orientation includes campus tours, meetings, lectures, and other relevant activities. Incoming freshmen are expected to participate in all activities, as information provided during the orientation program is designed to ensure a successful first-year experience.
