| I would like to say that living in AUS dorms gave me the chance to learn responsibility; it gave me the chance to meet people from totally different cultures and learn how to live with them closely. I believe that I would miss so much of university life if I was living outside the dormitories (whether with my parents or alone). Dorm was like my second home living with my second family. I will never forget the memories and moments I had in the dorms. Finally, I would like to thank everyone at the Residential Halls Department for making life at AUS dormitories so special and so enjoyable... and so many thanks to AUS (my best home ever) for everything it gave me and for all great moments and memories it gave me... my life now would be so different if I didn't attend AUS... thanks |

When I came to AUS, I had the option of staying in the dorms or staying in Dubai. I choose to stay in the dorms. That decision made my experiences at AUS far more enjoyable. Living in the dorms at AUS is not just about the convenience or the extra hour of sleep you can get in the mornings. It is about the opportunity to meet more people and learn more about life. I have experienced a lot in the dorms from trying to understand Arabic Soap Operas to staying up all night working in the computer lab. My favorite experiences were participating in the dorm sponsored sporting events. Without a doubt, these experiences will stay with me forever and have changed who I am. I really want to thank the dorm directors for all their kindness, help, and especially their patients. They really watched out for me and made the dorms feel welcoming. I also want to thank Abdulla and all the other guys who saw me walking to class and picked me up. The dorms are what you make of them. I made them my home |
