Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of Alumni Affairs at American University of Sharjah is to foster relationships between AUS and its alumni by providing opportunities for involvement that contribute to the success of the university and its alumni.

Purpose 
The purpose of the Office of Alumni Affairs is to aid in the development of American University of Sharjah by securing the knowledge, skills, financial resources and loyalty of its alumni; communicating and interpreting the university's goals and achievements to others; and promoting a spirit of unity and loyalty among current and former students and friends.

Objectives

• Initiate and promote activities that further the welfare and best interests of American University of Sharjah and its constituents
• Influence young men and women to select American University of Sharjah for an undergraduate or graduate education
• Assist in job development and career advising for American University of Sharjah alumni, parents, friends and students
• Provide a mechanism for leadership development and continuity
• Establish a continuing relationship with students to encourage them to become active alumni
• Provide a venue for fellowship and networking among American University of Sharjah alumni, parents and friends
• Encourage financial support for the university when appropriate

AUS Alumni Association

Mission Statement
The AUS Alumni Association was established for the purpose of strengthening loyalty, friendship, commitment and communication among all graduates, former students, current students, parents, faculty, staff and all other interested friends of American University of Sharjah. Its members hereby unite into an association to achieve unity of purpose and action that will serve the best interests of the university and its community. The association is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, scientific and literary purposes.

Purpose
The association exists to provide opportunities for alumni to participate in and contribute to the ongoing life of American University of Sharjah; to fulfill their responsibility to enhance the continuous growth and development of American University of Sharjah; and to promote interaction among alumni through programs that enrich their professional, cultural and personal lives. A strong, vital association provides the framework to facilitate the recruitment of alumni talent and resources to support the achievement of alumni objectives, represent alumni interests and concerns, and recognize alumni contributions to the university community, the United Arab Emirates and the world.
