Journals and Series

CAS  >  Departments  >  English  >  Research  >  Journals and Series

The Department of English at AUS hosts two book series in second language acquisition and one international journal in instructed second language acquisition.

Cambridge Elements in Second Language Acquisition: The series showcases a dynamic and high-quality set of original, concise scholarly works. Cambridge Elements in Second Language Acquisition features a comprehensive home for key topics in SLA which readers can consult for up-to-date coverage.

Advances in Instructed SLA: The mission of this series is to publish new theoretical insights in instructed second language acquisition research that advance our understanding of how languages are learned and should be taught. Research in instructed SLA has addressed questions related to the degree to which any form of external manipulation (e.g., grammar instruction, input manipulation) can affect language development.

Instructed Second Language Acquisition: The overall aim of this journal is to provide an opportunity for researchers, second and foreign language educators, and other language practitioners and policy makers to publish and read second language acquisition research that has direct relevance and impact for language teaching.
