Test of Written English (TWE or EWET)

The TWE test gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to write about an assigned topic. They will be given 30 minutes to write their essay, and the essay will be scored in a holistic way.

The score will be based on the candidate's ability to organize his response clearly, to sight examples to defend or clarify his position, and to write an effective conclusion.

TWE is a paper and pencil exam.

TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT)

AUS is an ETS-authorized TOEFL iBT® Test Center.

TOEFL iBT® Test

The  TOEFL iBT® tests all four skills: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. It is internationally accepted for university admission. The test may take up to two hours to complete (up to three hours at the test center). The AUS score reporting code is 0526.

The test has four sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing.

Institutional Paper-Based TOEFL (ITP)

All admitted applicants may sit for the International TOEFL (iBT Internet-based) at an ETS authorized Test Center or may take the Institutional TOEFL - ITP (paper-based) at the AUS Testing Center (only) before the start of the semester.
