4. Certification of the Master’s Thesis by the Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Programs
After you have received final approval from your thesis supervisor and committee (that is, your thesis has passed), and from the appropriate graduate program director and dean, you must submit the completed and approved thesis manuscript to the Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Programs for approval.
Student and Advisors must ensure that the manuscript conforms to AUS thesis guidelines as outlined in this booklet (see Section 6 and Section 7). This review normally takes from one to two weeks. The graduate program director of the school/college will not sign the Thesis Approval Form if the manuscript does not conform to AUS thesis guidelines.
If the manuscript has significant formatting problems, it will be returned to the candidate without certification. The candidate will be required to make all necessary corrections and resubmit the revised thesis for approvals.
Finally the manuscript needs to be presented to the AUS Archives within the Library for binding and archiving.
A Request for Thesis Certification form must be submitted to the Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Programs with your thesis.
