AUS-ISM06 Workshop
April 18–20, 2006
PROGRAM
The Mechatronics Center at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) is organizing a series of tutorials/workshops to train practicing engineers in the area of electric drives and embedded control systems.
The workshop will discuss various methods and technologies available in these fields and how to implement them into industrial applications. Moreover, the workshop will explore the current industry needs for practicing engineers.
The workshop will focus on the following topics:
- Electric Drives (motors, power converters and variable speed drives)
- Sensors and Actuators (motion and flow sensors, hydraulic and pneumatic actuators)
The workshop is organized at AUS and will run in parallel with the ISM06 Symposium. This will help widen the perspective of discussion on topics related to mechatronics education and stimulating interactions between universities and industries in the Middle East and the USA.
