This lab covers practical aspects of heat transfer by conduction and convection. It features the following equipment: a shell and tube heat exchanger, a plate heat exchanger, a double pipe heat exchanger, a jacketed vessel heat exchanger, a thermal conductivity measuring apparatus for solids, a thermal conductivity measuring apparatus for liquids, an extended surface heat transfer and a boiling liquid heat transfer measuring unit. |
