Teaching areas

Dr. AlHamaydeh teaches several courses in the structural engineering field at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Namely; Statics, Statics and Mechanics of Materials for Architecture, Structural Steel Design, Fundamentals of Structural Dynamics, Computer Methods in Structural Analysis and Design, at the undergraduate level. At the graduate level, he teaches Analysis and Design of Tall Buildings, as well as Structural Earthquake Engineering.

Research areas

Nonlinear Structural Dynamic Response Analysis and Modeling, Passive Control and Supplemental Damping Devices, Computer-Aided Design and Simulation, Nonlinear Finite Element Methods, Soil-Structure-Interaction, Structural Optimization, Experimental Analysis ofFull-Scale Structures as well as Components and Materials, Development of New Materials in Seismic Design and Retrofit, Fiber-Reinforced Concrete.
