SOE organizes Fourth AUS Programming Contest

Twenty students from the School of Engineering (SOE) participated in the Fourth AUS Programming Contest held on March 17. Participants were given eight problems to solve in five hours.

Forum Parmar won the gold medal for the second year in a row and solved six problems. Usman Riaz, who solved five problems, won the silver medal. Wasseim Zouabi solved four problems and won the bronze medal. The top junior programmers were Amir Kalbasi (gold medal), Mohamad Shoshaa (silver medal) and Yaser Ghanam (bronze medal).

All the winners are computer engineering majors except for Usman Riaz, who is majoring in electrical engineering. The contest was officially opened by SOE Dean Leland Blank.

Certificates of participation and appreciation were distributed to all contestants, volunteers, judges and members of the organizing committee and support staff. The top nine students will represent AUS at the Fifth UAE National Programming Contest.
