Dr. Meis Al-Kaisi

Meis Al-Kaisi's joined AUS in September 2010. She teaches Arabic Heritage and a variety of courses in Islamic Studies. Her areas of research interests are Islamic codicology, textual criticism and editing, Sufism, folklore, and sociolinguistics. While pursuing her PhD, she taught Arabic as a foreign language at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. Subsequently she worked as Academic Advisor for Qatar and Oman's Military Attache's Offices, as well as an Antiquarian Bookseller before pursuing her career in academia at AUS.
