The Continuing Education Center (CEC) held its annual graduation ceremony on September 28 in the Main Building on campus. Ninety-two successful students received their professional certificates in fields as diverse as sales and marketing, business administration, accounting and finance, information technology and computing, human resources management and multimedia design.

His Excellency Sheikh Tariq Bin Faisal Al Qassimi, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development, presented the graduates with their certificates. Also attending the ceremony were senior AUS officials including Dr. Winfred Thompson, AUS Chancellor; Dr. John Mosbo, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; Mr. Salem Al Qaseer, Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs; Mr. Bashir Abolail, Director of CEC; as well as faculty members and students. Awards for outstanding performance were also given to 13 instructors; four instructors received them for teaching English as a second language.
