AUS to become testing center
The American University of Sharjah (AUS), in collaboration with AMIDEAST, is establishing a testing center to offer various external exams, such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), that will cater to its students as well as to students from the community. According to the agreement, which was signed October 17, AMIDEAST will provide AUS with assistance in establishing and maintaining a testing center on campus. “We are pleased that we have reached agreement with AMIDEAST to better serve our students and community in providing an additional center for exams on our campus,” said Dr. Winfred Thompson, AUS Chancellor. Ms. Mary C. Corrado, Country Director, AMIDEAST, echoed Chancellor Thompsonʼs sentiments and said that the agreement would prove mutually beneficial to both organizations. “We are honored and pleased to continue working with AUS to expand testing and assessment at the university,” she said.
