The Leopard Newspaper: " A Reason To Roar "
The leopard is the official mascot of AUS and was chosen because the UAE preserves and protects the Arabian leopard that is currently on the brink of extinction. The Leopard is an official biweekly university newspaper and a voice of AUS students.
What is a university without its herald? The Leopard Newspaper brings together the university's pursuits and achievement and puts them to pen. The Leopard bridges the gap between the administration and the student body, helping bring the university closer to the realization of a better institution. More importantly, the Leopard prioritizes its duties to the students, covering their activities and accomplishments. After all, The Leopard is 'for students, by students'.
With each bimonthly issue, The Leopard brings prestige and coverage towards feats that students, faculty and staff bring to the university. The newspaper has different segments such as interviews of prominent people, features that interest the student's palette, and, most especially, provides space (Students Speak) for students themselves to share their thoughts on issues that affect university life.
The Leopard staff is continually growing with each academic year. Yet, it is always looking for fresh ideas from the students. So no matter what your major is, architecture, engineering or even business, and you have a flair for writing, join The Leopard and make yourself heard. |
