Accommodation is allocated based upon your preferences; however, the chances of you getting your preferred choice depend on several factors: The students who are already residing in the residential halls get first preference to their existing room. The next preference is for students who are registered in the undergraduate courses and are applying for the first time. Postgraduate students are next for room assignment. Finally, the chances of you getting your preferred choice depend upon how many other people have opted for the same preferences as you. i.e. availability.
