This dorm was opened in 1998 and has a structure unique among the dorms at AUS. CD Men rooms do not have attached bathrooms or kitchenettes but rather have shared common toilets and main kitchens. Due to this the rooms are more economically priced.

The dorm was officially re-named as IBN AL HAYTHAM.It has all other facilities similar to the other dorms including a very large TV Lounge which is the largest among the dorms. It has a computer lab, laundries, common kitchens & bathrooms as well as a fitness room and car parking area.
