Electronics Laboratory

CEN  >  Departments  >  Electrical Engineering  >  Facilities  >  Electronics Laboratory

Room Number: EB2-004

Lab Instructor: M.R. Narayanan

Lab Director: Dr. Hasan Al-Nashash

Course Number: ELE 214L, ELE 341L

Our Electronics Laboratory is used primarily for teaching linear and nonlinear electronic devices and circuits and to carry out class and design projects. It is equipped with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, DC power supplies, function generators, digital stopwatches and breadboards. The laboratory also contains other equipment like IC testers, LCR meters, solder/desolder stations for through hole components, and surface mount devices in addition to a wide range of electronic components.

The lab is also used to conduct a wide range of experiments in electrical engineering, such as diode circuits, power supplies, optoelectronic devices, analysis and design of BJT and MOSFET amplifiers, operational amplifier circuits, power amplifiers, frequency analysis, oscillator circuits, active filters, digital and timing circuits, and A/D and D/A conversion circuits. In addition to the daily scheduled undergraduate laboratories, this lab is also used to train engineers and technicians on fundamentals as well as advanced electronic circuits and applications, which can be conducted in conjunction with the electronic printed circuit board production facilities.
