Our rigorous curriculum helps students attain skills in classic as well as advance forms of marketing and management information systems.

Welcome to the Department of Marketing and Information Systems at American University of Sharjah! I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome on behalf of our department, which is committed to providing an excellent education and research experience.

Our department offers two exciting marketing and information systems majors, and we have recently added a new minor in luxury marketing. Our programs provide a comprehensive education in classic and advanced forms of marketing and information systems. Our curriculum is designed to prepare students for future careers in a global context.

We take pride in our faculty, who are world-class experts in marketing, information systems and supply chain management. Our teaching philosophy emphasizes collaborative learning, critical and innovative pedagogy, and active engagement with key market players through various course projects. We offer small classes that provide local, regional and global competencies and prepare our graduates with a deeper understanding of critical theoretical and methodological perspectives.

Our faculty is highly active in research and scholarship, and their combined research citations using Google Scholar exceed 25,000. They have published in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and regularly present their working papers in prestigious international forums. Our faculty also serve as editors and associate editors of journals and carry out assignments as chosen elected officers in global marketing and management information systems forums.
