Faculty Positions in MIS and Operations Management
The Department of Management Information Systems within the School of Business and Management seeks applicants for two full-time faculty positions (one position in MIS and one position in Operations Management specializing in Supply Chain Management) at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level starting in the Fall 2008. Initial faculty appointments are for three years.
Primary teaching responsibilities include lower & upper division courses as well as MBA classes.
Faculty are also expected to conduct research, publish in their fields, advise students, and provide service at the department, college, university, and wider professional community levels.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Management Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or closely related fields from an AACSB accredited institution (doctoral candidates who are near completion of their dissertation will be considered). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the American style of higher education.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in upper division courses
- Demonstrated ability or potential to publish in peer-reviewed journals
The department currently has 17 full-time faculty members and the teaching load is nine credit hours per semester for research-active faculty. There are two semesters in each academic year and summer teaching is available.
The School is currently pursuing initial AACSB accreditation and experiencing high growth in both faculty and students.

The Department of Management, Marketing and Public Administration within the School of Business and Management seeks applicants for full-time faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in Management and in Marketing for the 2008-2009 academic year.
Primary teaching responsibilities include lower & upper division courses as well as MBA classes. Members of the faculty are also expected to advise students; provide service to the university, college, department, and community; and conduct research and publish in their fields. Demonstrated ability or potential to publish in peer-reviewed journals is valued.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Management or Marketing or closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution (doctoral candidates who are near completion of their dissertation will be considered). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the American style of higher education.

- Evidence of scholarship/research
The department has 24 full-time faculty members. The teaching load is nine credit hours per semester for research active faculty. There are two semesters in each academic year. Summer teaching is optional, depends on demand for courses, and will result in supplementary pay. The School of Business and Management has a strong teaching orientation and requires a commitment to students through teaching and advising.
