Welcome to the Office of Graduate Programs in the School of Business Administration. We administer two masters-level programs for the wider business community.
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is designed to offer a high-quality, comprehensive and Gulf-oriented approach to the development of management and leadership skills. Its structure allows maximum flexibility. Students with a strong undergraduate foundation in business can complete the program in as little as 15 months, but individuals with heavy work commitments may elect to stretch their studies over as many as five years. Use of case studies, group projects and presentations builds and reinforces decision-making, analytical and presentation skills.
Our Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program provides students with advanced knowledge and techniques to pursue professional careers in public and private accounting. MSA students develop skills necessary to solve accounting problems that are of contemporary relevance in the fields of accounting, finance, and other business areas. The program is designed to create additional employment opportunities and promote the career success of our graduates. Career options for graduates will include positions in public accounting, such as external auditors, tax preparers, and consultants, as well as in private accounting roles such as internal auditors, controllers, chief financial officers and financial analysts. Positions in the public sector also contribute to the high demand for a graduate degree in accounting, both on the federal and local levels.
The new Master of Science in Finance (MSF) will help the UAE continue to grow as a global business hub, providing talented and highly-educated finance professionals for an expanding market. The program is specifically designed for those wishing to advance their career across a number of finance-related fields or prepare for a PhD in Finance. The program broadens participants’ finance-specific knowledge in areas such insurance, securities law, banking and insurance, financial markets, investment banking, corporations, financial advising public institutions, and much more. Importantly, a significant component of the CFA Level II and Level III body of knowledge is incorporated into the program, preparing students for the CFA designation (Chartered Finance Analyst) exams.
