Glittering ceremony

Staff members of the American University of Sharjah were recognized for their hard work and achievements at the Chancellor's Appreciation Awards ceremony held recently on campus.

AUS Chancellor Winfred Thompson congratulated the winners and appreciated their dedication and commitment to the university. The award ceremony was followed by a raffle and a sumptuous dinner held in the Rotunda of the Main Building.

The winners of this year's Chancellor's Awards are:

• Chancellor's Employee of the Year (Grades 7-9):
Thomas Varghese – Finance Department

• Chancellor's Honorable Mention Award (Grades 7-9):
Maha Al Atrash – University Health Center

• Chancellor's Employee of the Year (Grades 1-6):
Dorothy Moras – College of Arts and Science

• Chancellor's Honorable Mention Award (Grades 1-6):
Mohamad Ajaz – Operations Department
