IMS receives computer software

The Institute of Material Systems (IMS) in the School of Engineering recently received a generous donation from LockeCarey, a leading consultancy firm in engineering safety.

The donation, worth approximately AED 40,000, consists of updated computer software and license in the area of safety management.

The Institute of Material Systems conducts scientific research focused on materials properties and applications in harsh environments; assists governmental departments in establishing local and regional codes of practice; provides independent technical evaluation and consultation services on materialsrelated issues; enhances education through seminars, conferences and short courses; and establishes collaboration with similar centers of excellence worldwide.
