The Man Inspiring Millions motivates AUS students

Kevin Abdulrahman, known as The Man Inspiring Millions, motivated students at American University of Sharjah (AUS) and shared tips on how to be successful at a lecture yesterday, November 23, 2011. The talk was organized by the AUS Student Leadership Program (SLP).

In what turned out to be a very interactive presentation, Abdulrahman questioned students about their ambitions and goals. He told them to always ask themselves a basic question before starting anything in life: "What do I want?" He said that the key to happiness and success was in the answer to that simple question.

"Find out what success means to you and then go and do it, based on your definition of success," said Abdulrahman. "Do something you love. There's no point doing a degree where you end up skipping class. When you do something you love, you keep on doing it, you never stop and you automatically become successful at it," he added.

Abdulrahman's work revolves mainly around the subjects of self-improvement, motivation and leadership.
"The presentation had a blend of positive wisdom and engaging style, with a message of hope and inspiration shared with humor that made students think about the direction they are heading toward, the challenges they will face during life's toughest moments and how to overcome them in a positive way. I encourage students to follow their dreams, inspire others and make a difference in their community," said Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.

"When I first saw the guest, he looked extremely young and so my expectations were low. However, his speech was very motivational and inspiring, and listening to him has given me the drive to be more focused about what I want to do in life," said SLP team leader Sara Choobber, a junior finance major.
