IISE- Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers

IISE is the world’s largest professional society dedicated solely to the support of the industrial engineering profession and individuals involved with improving quality and productivity. The American University of Sharjah IISE Student Chapter provides learning and networking opportunities for industrial engineering students. Students build their professional networking environment through social events, tours and plant visits organized by the chapter. The AUS IISE chapter strives to optimize the industrial engineering students’ university experience.

The AUS IISE Student Chapter was honored with the Gold Award for two consecutive years, along with the Department of Industrial Engineering.

Events

  • Study tours to Portugal and Korea
  • Industry visit to Hyundai 
  • Frequent seminars held by special guest speakers
  • Workshops essential for training in software used in the field, including Lingo and Minitab
  • Workshops for developing skills on Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
