The Red Hat Academy offers courses and certifications covering the most popular Red Hat Technology platforms:

Red Hat Academy exposes you to the latest open source technologies through a "learning by doing" approach. You will be actively engaged by using a web-based curriculum followed by task-focused activities, hands-on lab knowledge checks and facilitative discussions with instructors. Red Hat Academy students can become the next Red Hat Engineers, Consultants or the upcoming Red Hat Certified Instructors. All exams for the following Red Hat certifications are performance-based and last two hours or longer.

RED HAT ACADEMY TRAINING PATHS

A) Red Hat System Administration I

Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) is designed for students who are new to Linux and require core Red Hat Enterprise Linux skills. Focused on administration tasks that will be encountered in the workplace, this course will actively engage students in task-focused activities, lab-based knowledge checks, and facilitative discussions to ensure maximum knowledge and skill transfer and retention. By the end of the course, students will be able to perform installation, establish network connectivity, manage physical storage and perform basic security administration.

B) Red Hat System Administration II

Red Hat System Administration II is designed for students to become full-time enterprise Linux system administrators. The course is a follow-up to System Administration I and continues to utilize today's best-of-breed, contemporary teaching methodology. By the end of this course, students will be able to administer and troubleshoot file systems and partitioning, logical volume management, access control, package management. Students who attend Red Hat System Administration I & II will be fully prepared to take the Red Hat Certified System Administration (RHCSA) exam (EX200).

C) Red Hat System Administration III

Red Hat System Administration III is designed for experienced Linux administrators who require networking and security administration skills. The course builds on knowledge and skills learned in Red Hat System Administration I and II. Focus is placed on enhancing the students' automation skills to securely configure, deploy and manage network services including DNS, Apache, SMTP and network file sharing. In addition, this course emphasizes security, including monitoring, packet filtering, access controls and SELinux. At the completion of this course, students already familiar with the RHCSA administration skills will have exposure to all competencies tested by the RHCSA (EX200) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exam (EX300).
