Proficiency Tests

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

To complete the requirements for admission to any college/school, applicants must take the TOEFL. A minimum score of 71 on the Internet-based TOEFL is required for admission to the first year.

Students who do not attain the minimum score but who otherwise meet AUS admissions standards will be admitted to the Intensive English Program at the university. TOEFL scores are valid for two calendar years only.

Institutional TOEFLs taken at other institutions will not be accepted by AUS.
