Dr. Ozkul received his B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey. He earned his M.S and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology, Florida, USA, in 1984 and 1988. He worked as a System engineer for maintaining systems and Design Engineer for developing embedded systems. He served as faculty in Computer Engineering Department of King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran for sometime. Later he became the managing director and chief engineer of highly innovative firm manufacturing state-of-the-art high-tech medical and industrial equipment. Recently he has worked as Director of Research and Development for a multinational firm manufacturing spacecraft and satellites. He has been with American University of Sharjah since year 2001. He is a senior member of Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society, ISA, and a member of IEEE and SPIE. He has a patent and a book on automation.
