Design is continually transforming the world around us. Some we see—compelling brand narratives, storytelling through film and animation, and engaging visual stories; some we touch—websites, kiosks, augmented and virtual reality interfaces; and some we feel—excellent service experiences, innovative organizational strategies and beautiful products.
Designers approach the world from a creative perspective centered on the human experience. They are and will continue to be among the most in-demand professionals as organizations deal with changing needs of the consumer in a highly technical and business-oriented world.
The Department of Art and Design offers some of the best design programs in the region in visual communication, multimedia design and design management. We have one mission: to educate students who will become change agents of the future, not just in the region but globally.
Our award-winning and globally recognized faculty are leaders in their respective fields. We work on creative teaching methods, impactful scholarship and exploratory projects to ensure that our classrooms are filled with both the critical thinking and tactical tools required for a career in design.
Our students are trained to be design leaders. They learn to design for the needs and aspirations of people and communities by embedding themselves in the regional, social and cultural context of the region. Most importantly, our students are prepared for a life filled with curiosity, creativity and experimentation.
Our alumni impact the lives of hundreds of thousands of people through their work in the region and around the world. They are creatives and thought leaders, planners and strategists, entrepreneurs and innovators. They work in agencies, companies and government; have started many successful companies and ventures; and go on to study at the most prestigious graduate schools.
In the future, design will have an impact on our world in ways we cannot even imagine today, and one day you will be the architect of such change. Come join the Art and Design family at CAAD and take the first steps towards this goal.
