Internship Program

CEN  >  Outreach  >  CEN Outreach  >  Internship Program

Our student internship program offers you a dynamic and cost-effective way to bring the latest id eas in engineering your organization. The AUS College of Engineering blends the best of North American educational practices with the methods used by the finest institutions in Europe and the Middle East. Our engineering students acquire technical knowledge and develop engineering skills that prepare them to be mature and discerning professionals.

AUS faculty members have designed the engineering programs to meet the needs of the region's future; the programs also satisfy the requirements currently in force in the United States. Our bachelor of science degrees in chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering are accredited by ABET, www.abet.org, the recognized accrediting organization for college and university programs in applied science, computing, engineering and technology in the United States.

To strengthen the student's preparation for engineering practice, the College of Engineering requires each student to complete a minimum of five weeks of internship in their respective discipline to complete their graduation requirements. In addition, long-term internships reaching up to three months can be accommodated and are encouraged by AUS faculty. Most internship programs start in June and can extend up to September.

Benefits of Hiring AUS Interns

Organizations have found hiring AUS College of Engineering interns a fruitful experience, with the interns equipped to successfully take on the projects and tasks assigned to them. Our students can bring new technology and ideas from the classroom into your organization.

An effective and inexpensive way to help your organization, hiring our interns gives your organization an early start on training future employees. It also provides an opportunity to build managerial skills among your mid-level staff, as they are typically responsible for day-to-day direction of interns. In addition, internships provide a chance to increase diversity in your organization's workforce.

Internships also help develop closer dynamic ties between business, industry and academia.

Finding Interns

The Engineering Outreach Program portal helps employers and interns manage the internship process easily and efficiently.

To take advantage of this tool, organizations are required to register by email [email protected]. Registered organizations can access the internship students' profiles to search for the right candidate, contact the candidate and send an offer--all through the Intern Registration Portal.
