Dr. Magnus Bernhardson is Professor of Middle Eastern Studies and Chair of the Department of International Relations at Williams College. He received his PhD from Yale University where his dissertation won the Theron Rockwell Prize. He is the author of numerous books, including History of Iran and Iraq in the 20th Century (forthcoming, Florida, 2013) and Reclaiming a Plundered Past: Archaeology and Nation in Modern Iraq 1921-1941 (University of Texas Press 2005).
