Enhancing Students' Mental Health and Well-Being (April 2017)
You are invited to a training session to be held by Dr. Khadeja Mousa, Head of Psychology for American Center of Psychiatry and Neurology's (ACPN)-Sharjah Branch. The session will provide an overview of common mental health issues that students might struggle with. We will also review some ways to identify high-risk students and how to provide them with the appropriate support.
Dr. Khadeja Mousa is a US-licensed clinical psychologist. She earned her master's and doctorate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. Dr. Mousa has over 13 years of mental health experience. She has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient settings with both children and adults.
Dr. Mousa came to ACPN initially as an Assistant Director at Fawzia Sultan Rehabilitation Institute in Kuwait. She works with a broad range of issues ranging from general adjustment issues (e.g., work and academic stress) to clinical diagnoses (e.g., mood disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse, psychosis).
