Presentation on UN Careers (November 2017)
Speaker: Nicolas Newhouse, Programme Management Officer, Office of the Executive Secretary, United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia
This one-hour presentation and Q&A session will focus on career opportunities at the United Nations.
About the speaker: A graduate of McGill University (Montreal) in Management and of Carleton University (Ottawa) in International Affairs, Nicolas Newhouse began his career in the private sector as a business systems analyst in the financial sector in Melbourne and Toronto. He then joined Foreign Affairs Canada, with assignments in the United Kingdom, South Africa and a posting as Canadian Consul in Lebanon. He has been working for the United Nations since 2012, principally in Lebanon and Ethiopia, with a focus on economic and social development as well as peace and security issues.
