About the speakers
Ahmed Al-Akras earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the AUS in 2016. He has an active presence in various literary events across the Arab world. He represented Jordan in the Prince of Poets Competition in 2013 and at the Katara Award for the Prophet (PBUH) Poet in 2017. His poetic works include Tree of Features, a collection of poetry published by the Department of Culture in the Government of Sharjah, January 2017; and Do Re Mi, a collection of poetry published by Dar Al Aan Publishers and Distributors, Amman, Jordan, January 2020.
Nizar Hassan is a poet and journalist who works in the field of supply chain and medical stores, in addition to his work in the cultural field as an activities and event coordinator, and in editing cultural magazines. He writes literary and critical articles. He has five poetry collections. The latest is Instead of missing, they steal summer from the clothing box, published by Alif Lam Meem Beirut. Hassan’s forthcoming works include three poetry collections, a novel, three plays and a book on the art of critical essay.
