The aim of the Achievement Academy Bridge Program (AABP) is to assist students develop the personal and academic skills that contribute to a successful university experience. While AABP students refine their English language skills to prepare for the demands of courses taught in English, they are encouraged to take advantage of everything AUS student life has to offer.
Our program provides a transition to higher education and helps students explore the wide range of opportunities that are available to them within the AUS community. It enables students not only to discover new interests and strengths, but also to gain confidence and make lifelong friendships.
In addition to their AABP courses (Academic Literacy, Communication and a Bridge Program elective of their choice), students can take a College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) course; depending on the level of the course, the credits may count towards the graduation requirement. Students can select from math, physics and a list of other courses according to their major requirements.

We firmly believe in building solid language foundations which will serve the students through their academic journey and beyond.
An additional benefit of studying in the AABP is that registered students are eligible to matriculate by passing the required AABP courses and submitting the following English Language Proficiency scores:
IELTS Academic version: 6.0 overall with a 6.0 on the writing part, or 6.5 overall
iBT: a score of 72 or above with a minimum score of 21 on the Writing part, or 80 overall
iTP: 543 or above
We strive to boost students’ holistic development through curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular events, encouraging them to participate in AABP club activities as well as other campus events to experience a sense of belonging to the AUS community. Our students’ contributions to the AABP and AUS are valued and recognized through messaging on social media platforms and in the AA Award Ceremony.
The AABP promotes the success of the students, providing them with the necessary skills (knowledge, experience or proficiency) that will help them move towards academic and personal excellence. It also enhances their creativity, encourages critical thinking and develops portable skills.
With its highly experienced, dedicated and friendly instructors, the department offers individualized monitoring, tracking, counseling and support, both in and out of class, as well as a dedicated mentoring program for general student well-being.
