Explore, Design and Build: Mechanical Engineering Boot Camp will be held between December 13 and 20, 2022 (five days). The camp is open for high school students in Grades 10-12 and will cover emerging areas of 3D printing and manufacturing, robotics and mechatronics, renewable energy and automotive, and microfluidics in enjoyable, hands-on, practical sessions. The camp will be offered on the AUS campus. Registration is free on a competitive basis.
The 15th High School Computing Camp will be held online between December 12 and 15 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The camp gives the participants the opportunity to learn about engineering design and innovation through four days of fun activities and competitions. The camp is open for students in Grades 10-12 and will be offered on-site at the American University of Sharjah. Registration is FREE on a competitive basis.
Hosted by the AUS Department of Industrial Engineering, the boot camp is exclusively for high school students in grades 10-12. You will explore emerging areas of artificial intelligence and machine learning, data science and big data, smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 through enjoyable, collaborative group activities and competitions, along with interactive and hands-on sessions in our state-of-the-art lab on the AUS campus. The boot camp will be held on January 29, 2023, at 9:00 am.

The Civil Engineering camp will be held December 20-22, 2022. It is open to high school students in Grades 10 to 12. The program will allow participants to explore different specializations within the civil engineering discipline, participate in collaborative group activities and competitions, and enjoy interactive and hands-on experiments in the Construction Materials and Structure Lab, Geotechnical Engineering Lab, Wastewater Treatment and Environmental Engineering Lab, and Surveying. Students will be learning about the principles of Sustainability, and exploring the basics of Building Information Modeling (BIM). Students will be exploring the basics of Computer-Aided Drafting, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). They will also learn about the Geographic Information Systems applications in civil engineering. The camp will be offered at the AUS campus. Registration is free but seats are limited.
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the American University of Sharjah invites school students from grades 10 to 12 to participate in the 2023 Computing Competition (ASCC) on February 26, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the American University of Sharjah. The aim of the competition is to promote computer science & engineering and pave the way for school students to excel in advanced sciences and technology.

The AI Workshop is an educational and entertaining event targeted at school students between grades 8 and 10. Over two days, students will engage in a series of experiments and hands-on activities related to data science, machine learning, and neural networks & deep learning. Students will explore new grounds of artificial intelligence and develop essential skills necessary for their future University life.

Through this program, high school students in grades 11 and 12 get to experience a day in the life of an AUS engineering student. Your guide for the day will be a student in your major of interest, and as their “shadow,” you will attend classes, meet our engineering students and professors, and experience some of our on-campus facilities.
