The Department of Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences is hosting AUS Environmental Day 2012

This year's theme is "Environment: the remedy for survival."

There will be presentations by individuals from United Nations Environment Program, Abu Dhabi Environmental Agency, and an AUS alumnus working for ADCO plus interactive displays by AUS faculty and environmental organizations and industries of the UAE, such as Sharjah EPAA, Petrofac and Emirates Environmental Group. Topics will include such things as environmental careers, biodiversity, recycling, air pollution, alternative energy, water quality, sustainable development, sustainable architecture, waste management, etc.

AUS ENV Day 2012 Poster and Paper Contest winners be awarded prizes during the closing remarks.

Please wear green all day and come make a green ribbon to wear to help us celebrate the environment!!
