Abstract
In this talk, we will establish the periodicity of the determinant of a (0, 1) double banded matrix. As a corollary, we will answer to two recent conjectures and other extensions. Several illustrative examples will be provided as well.
About the Speaker
Dr. Carlos M, Da Fonseca is a Full Professor in Mathematics at Kuwait College of Science and Technology, since September 2018. Professor Fonseca worked in the departments of mathematics at University of Coimbra, Portugal, and Kuwait University before he assumed his current position. He graduated from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, in Mathematics. He has (co)-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in pure and applied mathematics, namely in linear algebra, spectral graph theory, combinatorial matrix theory, trigonometric sums and chemical indexes. He has participated in many in worldwide conferences. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Special Matrices, a journal of the publisher De Gruyter.
