In the School of Business Administration, the Dean’s Business Team (DBT) is a non-profit student organization that works towards the development of the business students. The team acts as a liaison between the dean, the faculty, external corporations and the students.
DBT strives to increase student exposure to the business environment by organizing and managing competitions, seminars and corporate social responsibility (CSR) events. The events organized by DBT promote academic reinforcement, career building, and skill development. This includes activities such as The Pitch, Dragon's Den and SBA Apprentice, which promote entrepreneurship, and the Socialize Marketing Challenge and Case Competitions, which reinforce academic knowledge. The yearly CSR initiatives, such as SBA Goes Pink and A for Autism, remind students of the need to give back to society. DBT further supports the SBA community by coordinating activities during registration week and the Dean's List Reception.
Recruitment every semester brings new innovative ideas to help the team constantly improve. Since 2002, the organization has been the voice of students at SBA, guiding them through university while preparing them for the business world.
