About

HPCC  >  About

The High-Performance Computing Center (HPCC) brings together internationally renowned experts in the field of high-performance computing, with the goal of generating research outcomes that have a positive impact, both regionally and globally.

The center provides high-performance computing services across the university, allowing intensive computational tasks to be carried out efficiently and seamlessly. HPCC also provides faculty, staff and students at the university greater opportunities to harness data collected through their research, solve complex problems and provide better prospects for understanding what this data means. HPCC will enable interdisciplinary research activities at AUS and is expected to play a key role in establishing AUS as a leading research institution. The center also conducts outreach activities, providing a world-class high-performance computing resource to industry and academia throughout the region.

Our vision is to be a leading high-performance computing center (HPCC) in the region, facilitating research and aiding in educational advancement by providing leading-edge, high-performance computing services for intensive computational tasks.

Our mission is to promote research and teaching by integrating state-of-the-art high-performance computing, providing innovative tools and new opportunities for the faculty, staff and students of AUS to better understand and disseminate their research data.

We aim to advance disciplinary diversity, partnerships and excellence by involving inter- and cross-disciplinary activities across AUS, along with developing an active collaboration with the local industry.

In order to raise the international research profile of AUS, we will share information on the HPCC's accomplishments and promote the work of the AUS academic community.

In this, the HPCC will contribute to attracting the highest caliber faculty, staff and graduate students to AUS as we provide them with exceptional high-performance computing resources.

The HPCC will conduct regular awareness and capacity-building events and provide certifications for AUS faculty, staff, students and external commercial partners to maximize the utilization of our resources. Furthermore, we will support our community by providing assistance with the development of proposals and research output that make use of our outstanding resources.
